SENIOR LIVING Projects

DANBERRY AT INVERNESS

Danberry At Inverness Website
Birmingham, Alabama
2005 – 2009

Encompassing over 413,000 square feet, Danberry at Inverness is a rental model continuing care retirement community offering 160 Independent Living apartments, 72 Assisted Living apartments, and 48 Independent Living active adult cottages. In designing the community, the goal was to provide residents with services and amenities typically found in high-end retirement communities at a more modest cost suitable to the local economy. To do so without sacrificing quality, the project team utilized their thorough understanding of efficient building operations and economical construction practices.

The character of the community further enhances the comfort and livability for local residents by reflecting the 1920’s Tudor Revival style seen in neighborhoods surrounding the area. Steep roof pitches, turrets, half-timbered stucco, and the use of stone all contribute to this character.
