The principles of socially responsible architecture are especially relevant in the design of governmental and community buildings in which the challenge is to create a building that best serves the specific purpose of the organization, reflects the values of the community and exists as a productive and inspiring space for the people who visit or work there. We strive to ensure that our designs fit organically into the surrounding architecture, which is important when working with building renovations or additions, as is often the case in civic and community projects. And, of course, sustainability is especially important in these instances, as we believe public-owned buildings should always be as energy efficient and green as possible.
